Once Elsa and I spend a LONG time exploring a leaf... it was fuzzy and had spiky edges.... time stops and you are totally in the moment. Every day for Lent she decided she would work on a quilt that she has really been struggling to finish. She decided to work at least 10 minutes a day, but often ended up doing more once she got going. She finished her quilt (which she started over a year ago) in 2 weeks, and is very proud of the results. She also says it is a great reminder of what amazing things she can accomplish with just a little extra effort. I really like the idea of giving extra, instead of giving something up, for the season of LEnt.
